The Frosted Effect
The frosted finish diffuses the LED filament array into a clean, unified glow across the candle's tapered surface. The candle shape already adds more visual interest than a standard round bulb in any open fitting, and the frosted finish softens the output into a particularly comfortable quality: warm, even, and free of the pinpoint brightness that a clear glass bulb at eye level can create. In a pendant or wall sconce where the bulb is visible and at close range, frosted glass keeps the light easy to live with for extended periods. Inside fabric and paper lampshades, the frosted glass prevents the filament from casting visible shadow patterns against the shade material. A compatible trailing-edge dimmer provides smooth, flicker-free control from full brightness down to a soft, ambient glow.
