The Low-Voltage Advantage
Running on 24 volts DC instead of mains voltage significantly reduces the risk of electric shock in wet or splash-prone environments, a genuine advantage for candle-styles fittings near a bathroom vanity, an outdoor entertaining area, or a boat's galley. Clear glass keeps the filament visible, so the fitting still reads as decorative rather than purely functional, even wired to a system built around safety first. When switched off, the visible filaments through the clear glass give the fitting a refined appearance that keeps it looking intentional.
It's compatible with PWM and 1–10V dimmers, so brightness can still be tuned to the mood despite running on a low-voltage circuit, holding a steady, flicker-free glow from full brightness down to its lowest setting.
Where It Belongs
Suited to bathroom vanity sconces, caravan and marine cabin lighting, and off-grid cabin fittings where mains power isn't available or safe to run at all. Commercially, it fits eco-accommodation, boutique camping sites, and marina fit-outs wired for low-voltage systems throughout, as well as glamping operators retrofitting existing 24V circuits rather than running new mains wiring. It's also a straightforward retrofit for existing 24V lighting circuits in older caravans and boats being refreshed with warmer, more decorative bulbs than the plain utility globes they replace. The E14 fits the small Edison screw sockets common in decorative fittings wired for low-voltage use.
This bulb operates on 24 volt DC low-voltage systems only and is not compatible with mains voltage fittings. Always verify your system voltage before installation.
We stock a full range of bases (E14, E27, B15, B22), including the E12 Candelabra base. The E12 is the standard size for light fittings imported from the US; if you have a North American chandelier or lamp, this is the correct bulb for your fixture.
Clear glass is designed for crystal chandeliers to create a brilliant sparkle; Frosted glass diffuses light to reduce harsh glares; and Porcelain (Opal) offers an entirely uniform, matte white glow. Choose Porcelain or Frosted for a softer, more contemporary aesthetic that is easy on the eyes.
Select 2200K (Sunset Glow) for an ultra-warm, vintage feel; 2700K (Warm White) for traditional living areas; 3000K (Soft White) for a slightly cleaner look; or 4000K (Cool White) for task-heavy spaces like kitchens or work areas.
Our candle bulbs are fully dimmable and optimised for modern trailing-edge LED dimmers. To ensure flicker-free performance and a long lifespan, we recommend avoiding older "leading-edge" magnetic dimmers, which may not be compatible with low-wattage LED technology.
