Description
Description
The small piece that makes a hanging light, or almost anything you want to suspend, look designed rather than improvised. The Monad Minimalist Swag Hook is a low-profile ceiling and wall hook that carries a fabric cable, a plug-in fixture, a run of string lights or a trailing plant exactly where you want it, without relying on a fixed point overhead. It comes in matte black or matte white to match the Monad pendant range, and it looks as tidy as whatever it holds.
Put the Light Where You Want It
A plug-in pendant gives you the freedom to hang light anywhere; the swag hook is what turns a loose cable into a clean, deliberate line. Fix one to the ceiling or wall, run the cable through it, and set a gentle loop or a sharp angle so the light sits where you want it rather than wherever the socket happens to be. It is the trick behind a centred pendant with no ceiling point above it: the fixture hangs where it should while the cord runs neatly across to the nearest power point. Add a second hook, one above the socket and one where the light should hang, to draw a crisp L-shaped path across the ceiling.
More Than a Light Hook
The same hook works well beyond lighting. Use it as a cord hook to guide a run of indoor string or fairy lights along a wall or mantel, as a plant hanger for a trailing pot, a macramé holder or a small terrarium, or to suspend a mobile, a wind chime or another piece of light hanging décor. In a shop or café it is just as useful for styling a window, dropping a pendant over a counter or hanging seasonal decorations. Anywhere you want to bring something down from a ceiling or out from a wall and have the fixing look intentional rather than makeshift, this does the job. As with any hook, fix it to a solid surface and it will keep your cable, lights or greenery exactly where you placed them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How bright are Dulora bulbs?
LED brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. Here's a quick conversion guide:
- 2-3W LED ≈ 25W incandescent (200-300 lumens)
- 4-5W LED ≈ 40W incandescent (400-500 lumens)
- 6-8W LED ≈ 60W incandescent (650-800 lumens)
- 7.5-10W LED ≈ 75-100W incandescent (900-1200 lumens)
- 11-12W LED ≈ 100-125W incandescent (1300-1500 lumens)
All Dulora product pages list wattage and lumen output so you can choose the perfect brightness for your needs.
What is the lifespan of Dulora bulbs?
Dulora bulbs are designed for over 25,000 hours of use. If you use your light for an average of 3 hours per day, your LED bulb could last over 22 years. This exceptional longevity significantly reduces the frequency of replacements compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, which typically last only 1,000-2,000 hours. Note that all LED bulbs' light output gradually decreases over time, a phenomenon known as lumen depreciation.
Are Dulora bulbs dimmable?
Yes, most Dulora bulbs are dimmable, allowing you to create the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Look for the "dimmable" specification on the product page. For optimal performance, we recommend using LED-compatible dimmers. Some older dimmer switches may cause flickering or buzzing with LED bulbs. What is colour temperature and which should I choose?
Colour temperature refers to the warmth or coolness of light, measured in Kelvins (K):
- Ultra & Extra Warm (2000K-2200K): This colour range is warm and closer to a room lit by candles. It’s a very calm type of light, but it may make tasks like reading harder.
- This calming light gives off a warm glow, similar to candlelight. However, because it is such a soft light, it may not be suitable for activities that require focus, such as reading.
- Warm White (2700K-3000K): This colour creates a cozy, inviting atmosphere similar to traditional incandescent bulbs. It is ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas.
- Natural White (3500K-4000K): Provides a balanced, neutral light perfect for kitchens, offices, and workspaces.
- Cool White (5000K-6500K): This colour delivers a crisp, energising light similar to daylight. It is best for task lighting, garages, and areas requiring detailed visibility.
Choose based on the mood you want to create and the purpose of the space.
