Description

The right candle for fittings that call for the US standard candelabra socket. The dimmable 4W Candle LED Bulb E12 Clear replaces a traditional 40W incandescent, delivering 470 lumens of rich 2700K warm white light with visible LED filament detail through the E12 mini Edison screw base, the standard candelabra socket found in US-made light fittings. Ultra-high colour accuracy ensures the light renders colours and textures naturally, with skin tones that look warm and true. Backed by a 3-year warranty.

The Clear Glass Effect

The transparent glass envelope gives this candle its decorative appeal. The LED filament array is fully visible through the clear glass, each strand radiating a warm, golden glow that gives the fitting a sense of warmth and intention. At 40W-equivalent output, the filament glow creates a comfortable, atmospheric light that works well in multi-arm fittings where several bulbs together build the warmth of the space. In an imported chandelier, a candelabra, or a decorative wall sconce with E12 sockets, the visible filament adds a layer of detail that a frosted bulb would conceal. What base does this bulb use, and will it fit my fixture?

This bulb has an E12 base, sometimes called a candelabra or mini Edison screw. It is smaller than the standard E27 or E14 fittings you will find at most Australian hardware stores and supermarkets, which is exactly why it can be hard to track down elsewhere. E12 is the fitting used in many chandeliers, wall sconces, and decorative fixtures, particularly those with an American or vintage-style design. If your fixture calls for a small candelabra screw fitting, this is the right size.

What does 2700 Kelvin actually feel like in a room?

2700K is a warm white, the same familiar glow you would associate with a traditional incandescent bulb. It sits well away from the cooler, bluer light of daylight globes, and suits living rooms, bedrooms, and any space where you want the light to feel settled and easy rather than clinical. This bulb holds a fixed 2700K rather than shifting through different tones as you dim it, so the mood stays consistent whether it is on full or low.

What does a CRI of 90+ mean for how a space will actually look?

CRI, or Colour Rendering Index, measures how accurately a light source shows the true colours of what it is illuminating, on a scale up to 100. At 90 and above, colours read as they actually are rather than washed out or shifted, which matters when you are specifying against fabric samples, timber tones, or artwork that needs to hold its colour under artificial light. This bulb also throws light across a full 360 degrees, so coverage is even rather than concentrated in a single hotspot.

What is the warranty, rated lifespan, and certification on this bulb?

This globe carries a 36 month manufacturer's warranty and an average rated life of 25,000 hours, which works out to well over twenty years at around three hours of use a day. It is SAA and RCM certified for the Australian market, with EMC, CE, and UKCA marks as well. Once you have a fitting confirmed, this is a spec you can order against with confidence rather than re-checking every time.

Is this bulb dimmable?

Yes. It is dimmable with most incandescent and LED dimmers. Every dimmable Dulora globe is independently tested by TÜV Rheinland and meets internationally recognised low flicker standards at full brightness. For the smoothest results and the least chance of buzz or flicker, pair it with a quality LED dimmer, as performance can vary depending on the dimmer used.

What size is the bulb? I do not want to order the wrong one.

This is a common trip-up with candle globes, so it is worth checking before you buy. The bulb has a C35 shape with a 35 millimetre diameter at its widest point and a total length of 100 millimetres. If you are fitting it into a chandelier, sconce, or lamp with a decorative shade, measure the space available against these figures first, particularly if the shade sits close to the globe.

no bulb circumference info

No bulb circumference information leads to wrong size being purchased. Please publish small globe circumference, as many requirements need smaller circumference to fit. Expensive postage too.
