What Happened to LiquidLEDs? Meet Dulora: Same Team, Same Quality, New Name

By Michael Moskvin |

If you're looking for LiquidLEDs, you've found us. We've changed our name to Dulora.

Same team. Same products. Same obsession with getting light right. The website, the brand, and the name are new, but everything behind them, our Australian-based team, our ultra-high colour accuracy lighting range, our 3-year warranty, and over 15 years of experience, is exactly the same. The business behind the brand hasn't changed either: Liquidleds Lighting Pty Limited, based in Sydney, now trading as Dulora. If you had a LiquidLEDs account, it's been carried across automatically, including your order history and any trade pricing.

So why the change? Here's the full story.

Why did LiquidLEDs change its name to Dulora?

The honest answer is a trademark conflict. We've been planning to launch Dulora products in the United Kingdom and Europe for some time, but a trademark conflict prevented us from registering the LiquidLEDs name in those markets. We had two options: run two separate brands in different countries, or find one name we could take everywhere. We chose the second option.

Once we started working on the rebrand, we realised it was actually a chance to build the brand this business deserved all along. LiquidLEDs began in 2010 as a specialist LED supplier, back when LED technology was still new, and our job was simply helping Australians switch from halogen and incandescent globes to something better. We did that for over 15 years, serving more than 100,000 customers across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

But the way people think about lighting has changed. It's no longer just about energy savings or how long a globe lasts. People care about how the light makes their room feel, whether it flatters the paint colours they spent weeks choosing, whether it sets the right mood for a quiet evening at home. Dulora is built around that shift, from light as a utility to light as atmosphere.

Our tagline says it simply: Atmosphere, Illuminated.

Has anything changed for existing LiquidLEDs customers?

Very little. Here's a quick summary.

What's changed What hasn't changed
Brand name (now Dulora) The team behind the business
Website address (now dulora.com.au) Product range and quality
Visual identity and packaging Ultra-high CRI and flicker-free standards
International storefronts (dulora.co.nz, dulora.co.uk) Your account, order history, and login
Trade portal address (now dulora.pro) Trade pricing and account tiers
3-year warranty
Australian-based customer support

If you previously shopped at liquidleds.com.au, your account has been migrated to dulora.com.au. Your login, order history, saved details, and any trade pricing are all intact. Old LiquidLEDs links will redirect you to the right page on the new site.

What makes Dulora lighting different from other LED brands?

We've been stubborn about light quality since 2010, and that hasn't changed under the new name. Three things set our products apart.

Ultra-high colour accuracy. Most LED globes on the market have a CRI (colour rendering index) of around 80, which is adequate but not great. Colours look slightly washed out, skin tones can appear grey or greenish, and materials like timber and fabric don't look the way they should. Our range spans from high to ultra-high CRI across our premium lines. The difference is visible the moment you switch the light on: colours look true, skin looks warm and natural, and the space just feels right. It's why interior designers and hospitality venues have been specifying our globes for years.

Flicker-free technology. Many cheap LED globes flicker at a rate your eyes can't consciously see, but your brain notices. It causes eye strain, headaches, and fatigue, especially under prolonged exposure. It also ruins video recordings. Every Dulora globe in our flicker-free range is built to meet IEC guidelines for visual comfort, ensuring a smooth, steady light output. Once you've lived with flicker-free lighting, you notice the difference everywhere else.

All-glass construction. We were among the first in Australia to offer all-glass LED filament bulbs rather than plastic housings. Glass manages heat better, lasts longer, and looks significantly better in exposed fixtures like pendants, chandeliers, and festoon strings, where the globe is part of the design.

How does Dulora support The Fred Hollows Foundation?

In November 2025, we became a partner of The Fred Hollows Foundation, the Australian organisation working to end avoidable blindness in more than 25 countries. Dulora donates a portion of every LED bulb and globe sold to help fund sight-restoring surgeries.

We've supported charities for many years, including the Salvation Army, but The Fred Hollows Foundation is a partnership that connects directly with what we do every day. We spend our time thinking about how people see their spaces. Fred Hollows spent his life restoring sight to people who had lost it. A lighting company helping people see again: the two resonate in a way that felt natural from the start.

This partnership is now built into the Dulora brand. Every bulb sold contributes, and we report on the impact every four months.
