The Clear Glass Effect
Clear glass keeps the filament fully visible, throwing a rich, amber-toned light with a gentle sparkle that reads as candlelit rather than simply warm. It's compatible with standard trailing-edge dimmers and holds a smooth, flicker-free dim curve, so the filament stays steady from full brightness down to its lowest setting.
In a simple wall sconce or bare pendant with no other ornamentation, the visible filament is often the only detail in the fitting, so how it looks unlit carries nearly as much weight as the light it throws when switched on. That's part of why clear-finish candle bulbs are chosen deliberately for open fittings, rather than defaulted to when a shade would do the job.

Our candle bulbs are fully dimmable and optimised for modern trailing-edge LED dimmers. To ensure flicker-free performance and a long lifespan, we recommend avoiding older "leading-edge" magnetic dimmers, which may not be compatible with low-wattage LED technology.
