Sunset Dim

Sunset Dim is Dulora's dim-to-warm range: GU10 and MR16 spotlights that shift from a clean 2700 Kelvin down to a candlelit 1800 Kelvin as you dim them, the same warmth a room takes on at sunset. CRI95 across the range, with a three-year warranty as standard.

Most rooms only get one setting: on. Sunset Dim exists for the ones that need two, following the dimmer down in the evening and shifting from a clean 2700 Kelvin to a candlelit 1800 Kelvin as the light drops, the same way a room warms at sunset.

The range currently covers GU10 in 36 degree spot and 60 degree wide beam, and MR16 in a 36 degree beam, all built to CRI95 and all dim-to-warm from 2700K down to 1800K. At full brightness, Sunset Dim performs like any Dulora spotlight: true colour, no flicker, consistent output from one globe to the next.

Every Sunset Dim spotlight needs a quality LED-rated dimmer to shift colour smoothly, and holds that curve with no flicker at any point on it, including the low end where it spends most of its evening life. See Dimmer Switches for pairing guidance.

Safety certified, three-year warranty, part of the Sunset tier, Dulora's premium range for atmospheric control.

Sunset Dim: Choosing the Right Spotlight and Getting the Dimming Right

What's the difference between the GU10 60 degree wide beam and the GU10 36 degree spot?

Beam angle changes how the light spreads, not how warm it gets. 60 degrees suits a wider wash over a benchtop or hallway, while 36 degrees is a tighter beam for accent lighting or a reading nook. Both dim-to-warm identically, from 2700K down to 1800K.

Do I need a special dimmer for Sunset Dim to work properly?

Yes, a quality LED-rated dimmer. A dimmer built for older incandescent or halogen globes can cause flicker or an uneven colour shift at low brightness. See Dimmer Switches for pairing guidance.

How is Sunset Dim different from a standard warm white spotlight?

A standard warm white spotlight holds one colour temperature at every brightness level. Sunset Dim moves through a range as you dim it, from a working 2700K down to a candlelit 1800K, so the room's mood shifts with the light level rather than the room simply getting darker.

Can Sunset Dim be mixed with Dulora's other GU10 or MR16 spotlights in the same room?

Yes. Sunset Dim uses the same base, wattage, and beam options as the rest of the range, so it drops into an existing fixture without rewiring. Many customers use it selectively, in the rooms where the evening shift matters most, alongside standard spotlights elsewhere.
