Form Follows Flame

The tapered candle silhouette is one of lighting's most enduring forms. The exposed filament inside clear or frosted glass brings that heritage into a modern context. In a chandelier, wall sconce, or candelabra, this bulb is as much a design element as the fitting around it.

Where It Belongs

In a chandelier above a dining table set for guests, or a pair of wall sconces either side of a bedroom mirror, the candle bulb does something no downlight or panel fixture can. It creates intimacy through its soft, enveloping warmth, making faces look softer and spaces feel more human. Boutique hotels, heritage residences, and considered hospitality venues have always known this. The candle bulb is not background lighting. It is the mood itself.

Noticeably better light

Colours come back to life. Reds stay warm, skin tones look natural, and surfaces take on the depth and texture they were always meant to have. A significant step above what most homes and venues settle for.

The description of the general appearance of a lamp/bulb consists of a letter(s) followed by a number. The letter indicates the shape of the bulb, and the number relates to the diameter of the bulb in millimetres. For example, a standard household bulb is the A60. The bulb is "A" shape, and the diameter would be 60 millimetres.

色温

An expression of the hue of the light emitted, measured in degrees Kelvin. Usually expressed by a four-digit number followed by (K), such as 2700K.

The Colour Rendering Index is an international system that rates a lamp's ability to render objects colours. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale), the richer and more accurately the colours appear. CRI differences among lamps are not usually visible unless the difference is more than 3-5 points.

可调光

Indicated whether a product can be dimmed in conjunction with a suitable dimmer control.

Yes, with most incandescent and LED dimmers.
护眼

Eye comfort measures how stable and consistent a bulb's light output is. Even when invisible to the naked eye, flickering light can cause headaches, eye strain, and fatigue, particularly during extended periods of reading, working, or relaxing at home. Dulora's dimmable globes are independently tested by TÜV Rheinland and meet internationally recognised low-flicker standards at full brightness. For the best experience, pair with a quality LED dimmer, as flicker performance can vary depending on the dimmer used.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which base size do I need, and is E12 suitable for US fittings?

We stock a full range of bases (E14, E27, B15, B22), including the E12 Candelabra base. The E12 is the standard size for light fittings imported from the US; if you have a North American chandelier or lamp, this is the correct bulb for your fixture.

What is the difference between Clear, Frosted, and Porcelain glass finishes?

Clear glass is designed for crystal chandeliers to create a brilliant sparkle; Frosted glass diffuses light to reduce harsh glares; and Porcelain (Opal) offers an entirely uniform, matte white glow. Choose Porcelain or Frosted for a softer, more contemporary aesthetic that is easy on the eyes.

How do I choose the right colour temperature (2200K to 4000K)?

Select 2200K (Sunset Glow) for an ultra-warm, vintage feel; 2700K (Warm White) for traditional living areas; 3000K (Soft White) for a slightly cleaner look; or 4000K (Cool White) for task-heavy spaces like kitchens or work areas.

Are these LED candle bulbs compatible with my dimmer switch?

Our candle bulbs are fully dimmable and optimised for modern trailing-edge LED dimmers. To ensure flicker-free performance and a long lifespan, we recommend avoiding older "leading-edge" magnetic dimmers, which may not be compatible with low-wattage LED technology.

Do these bulbs produce "True Colour" light?

Yes, all our LED candles feature a high Colour Rendering Index (CRI), providing "True Colour" light. This ensures that your interior colours, furniture, and fabrics appear rich and accurate, rather than looking dull or greyish as they often do with lower-quality bulbs.
