How do I know if my fitting runs on standard mains voltage?

If the fitting is hardwired into a home's electrical system and has a standard E27, E14, B22, B15, or GU10 socket, it's almost certainly running on standard mains voltage. The main exceptions are wet-area fittings that use a low-voltage driver (typically with MR16 or G4 bulbs) and older halogen track systems that may run on low voltage.
