Soepel dimmen met 1-10V-, PWM- en DALI-dimmers
Er zit een bijzondere warmte in een kaarsvormige lamp die ’s avonds zachtjes brandt, en de Sunset Dim Candle, E27 houdt dat gevoel vast tot aan de laatste draai aan de dimmer. Deze dimbare, heldere kaarslamp geeft 470 lumen warm wit licht van 2700 K met slechts 4,8 watt, als vervanging voor een traditionele gloeilamp van 40 W. Bovendien wordt het licht bij dimmen niet alleen zwakker: het verschuift naar een diepe amberkleur van 1800 K, vergelijkbaar met kaarslicht. De ultrahoge kleurweergave zorgt ervoor dat kleuren en texturen er steeds natuurgetrouw uitzien, en de E27-fitting met standaardformaat Edison-schroefdraad past in standaardfittingen waar een kleinere kaarsfitting niet in past. Het effect van helder glas
Door het heldere glas blijft de gloeidraad zichtbaar, en met een fitting van standaardformaat komt die uitstraling veel beter tot zijn recht dan alleen boven een kroonluchter. Een slanke rij leds loopt door het midden van de lamp en geeft warm, sprankelend licht dat weerkaatst in glas, spiegels en metaal. Wanneer de lamp uit is, blijft een fraai vintage-ontworpen filament zichtbaar. Daardoor past deze heldere kaarslamp uitstekend bij pendels met zichtbare fitting, lamphouders, lichtslingers en open armaturen waarbij de lamp gezien mag worden. Komt de kaarslamp in een lampenkap te zitten, of wil je zachter licht zonder zichtbaar filament, dan is de Porcelain-versie de betere keuze. Die voorkomt ook de filamentschaduwen die een heldere lamp op de stof van een lampenkap kan werpen.
Het verschil met een gewone led-kaarslamp zit in het dimmen. De meeste behouden tijdens het dimmen één lichttint; deze lamp gaat van helder warm wit licht van 2700 K naar warm amberkleurig licht van 1800 K wanneer je het licht zachter zet. Zo bootst hij na hoe een oude gloeilamp een ruimte later op de avond zachter verlichtte. De lamp dimt soepel met een led-compatibele dimmer.

Dankzij de fitting van standaardformaat past de E27 Sunset Dim Candle in armaturen waarin een kleine schroeffitting niet past. Thuis betekent dat pendels met zichtbare fitting, clusterpendels, grotere tafel- en vloerlampen en open balkfittingen in keukens, woonkamers en gangen, waar een kaarsvorm meer karakter heeft dan een ronde lamp. In cafés, restaurants, bars en winkels komt de lamp goed tot zijn recht in opvallende pendels en lichtslingeropstellingen. Hij zorgt voor warm, regelbaar licht dat de sfeer versterkt wanneer de dag overgaat in de avond.
