De Sunset Dim Candle combineert de slanke, taps toelopende vorm van een traditionele kaarslamp met een warme gloed die mee dimt — iets wat de meeste ledlampen onderweg zijn kwijtgeraakt. Deze dimbare heldere kaarslamp levert 470 lumen warm wit licht van 2700 K met slechts 4,8 watt, als vervanging voor een traditionele gloeilamp van 40 W, en dimt tot een diepe amberkleurige kaarsgloed van 1800 K in plaats van alleen maar zwakker te worden. De ultrahoge kleurweergave houdt het licht door de hele ruimte natuurgetrouw, terwijl de kleine E14-schroeffitting past in de compacte fittingen van kroonluchters, wandlampen en kleinere lampen. Het effect van helder glas
Bij helder glas ontleent de kaarslamp haar uitstraling aan het filament binnenin. Een slanke reeks leds loopt door het midden van de lamp en verspreidt een warm, fonkelend licht dat schittert in geslepen glas, kristallen druppels en gepolijst metaal. Precies daarom zijn heldere kaarslampen altijd de klassieke keuze geweest voor kroonluchters en armaturen met meerdere lichtpunten. Als de lamp uitgeschakeld is, zorgt het zichtbare filament voor een verzorgde, vintage-geïnspireerde uitstraling, zodat de lamp ook mooi blijft in open armaturen waarin hij voortdurend zichtbaar is. Zit de kaarslamp in een stoffen of papieren kap, of wil je gewoon een zachtere uitstraling zonder zichtbaar filament, dan is de porseleinen versie de betere keuze.
Het dim-to-warm-effect tilt deze lamp boven een gewone kaarslamp uit. In plaats van bij het dimmen dezelfde vlakke kleurtemperatuur te behouden, verandert het licht van helder warm wit van 2700 K naar amber van 1800 K naarmate je verder dimt — vergelijkbaar met een echte vlam of een ouderwetse gloeilamp die een tafel steeds warmer verlicht naarmate de avond vordert. De lamp dimt soepel met een led-compatibele dimmer.
