Precision by Design

The spotlight form factor is engineered around directional intent. Where a decorative globe invites you to look at it, a spotlight asks you to look where it points. Clean, purposeful, and built to disappear into the ceiling while making everything below it look its best.

Where It Belongs

A spotlight does not light a room. It lights a moment within a room. The artwork on the wall, the texture of a stone benchtop, the product on a retail shelf, the face of someone sitting across a restaurant table. In each of these cases the spotlight is doing something deeply intentional: it is telling the eye where to go. Retail designers, gallery curators, hospitality operators, and homeowners who take their interiors seriously all rely on the spotlight to make the difference between a space that feels thoughtfully designed and one that simply has lights in the ceiling.

Matt, urvattnat ljus

Röda färger tappar sin värme. Huden ser blek ut. Konstverk förlorar sitt djup. Rummet känns livlöst oavsett hur många glödlampor du använder.

Rich, accurate light

Every hue appears exactly as intended. The same room, transformed. Not brighter, but alive. This is what your space was always meant to look like.

Beskrivning

Ställ in 36° för allmän punktbelysning.

Sockeltyp

The end of the lamp that fits into the socket.

GU5.3
Glödlampsform

The description of the general appearance of a lamp/bulb consists of a letter(s) followed by a number. The letter indicates the shape of the bulb, and the number relates to the diameter of the bulb in millimetres. For example, a standard household bulb is the A60. The bulb is "A" shape, and the diameter would be 60 millimetres.

Spotlight
Ingångsspänning

This voltage specification denotes the voltage level required for the LED bulb to operate correctly.

12 Volt AC/DC
Wattal

A rating, expressed in watts, indicates the rate at which a lamp consumes energy. Also known as wattage value.

7W
Ljusstyrka

A lumen measures the amount of visible light emitted by a source per unit of time. It indicates the brightness or illumination power of lamps and lighting systems.

460 lumens
Färgtemperatur

An expression of the hue of the light emitted, measured in degrees Kelvin. Usually expressed by a four-digit number followed by (K), such as 2700K. High temperatures indicate white, "cooler" colours, while lower temperatures indicate yellower, "warmer" colours. Some typical Kelvin temperatures are 2700K (warm white) and 4000K (natural white).

2700 Kelvin
CRI

The Colour Rendering Index is an international system that rates a lamp's ability to render objects colours. The higher the CRI (based upon a 0-100 scale), the richer and more accurately the colours appear. CRI differences among lamps are not usually visible unless the difference is more than 3-5 points.

Dimbar

Indicated whether a product can be dimmed in conjunction with a suitable dimmer control.

Yes, with a compatible 12V electronic transformer and dimmer.
Ögonkomfort

Eye comfort measures how stable and consistent a bulb's light output is. Even when invisible to the naked eye, flickering light can cause headaches, eye strain, and fatigue, particularly during extended periods of working, cooking, or reading under downlights. Dulora's GU10s are independently tested and achieve near-invisible stroboscopic levels, meaning no distracting strobe effect under movement. For the best experience, pair with a quality LED dimmer, as flicker performance can vary depending on the dimmer used.

Low Flicker (Pst LM 0.124, SVM 0.032, independently tested)
Motsvarar glödlampa

The wattage value of an incandescent lamp of similar brightness.

50W
Glödlampans diameter

Light bulb: a measure of a bulb's width taken at the widest point of the bulb. Fixtures: the measurement across the widest point of a circular fixture.

Frequently Asked Questions

What halogen does the FlexBeam MR16 replace?

The FlexBeam MR16 replaces a traditional 50W halogen MR16, producing 460 lumens from just 7 watts. It is available in 2700K warm white and 3000K soft white, so you can match the colour temperature to the space.

What makes the FlexBeam different from a standard MR16?

The FlexBeam has a built-in beam angle adjustment that lets you switch between 24°, 36°, and 55° on site with a simple twist, without changing the bulb or fitting. A 24° narrow beam works well for accent lighting and artwork, 36° suits general task areas, and 55° gives a wider, softer wash for ambient lighting.

Where does the FlexBeam MR16 work best?

The adjustable beam makes it well suited to spaces where lighting needs vary across zones: retail displays, restaurant dining areas, kitchen islands, and gallery or commercial interiors, with 2700K for warm intimate settings and 3000K for kitchens and commercial spaces where a crisper light is preferred. It also works in residential living rooms and bedrooms where you want the flexibility to shift between accent and ambient lighting without changing the fitting. For bathroom use, always verify that the fitting carries the appropriate IP rating for the zone, and confirm compatibility with your installer.

Will the FlexBeam fit my existing MR16 fittings?

Yes. The FlexBeam uses the standard GU5.3 bi-pin base and measures 50mm in diameter and 48mm in length, matching the footprint of a standard 50mm MR16 halogen. It operates on 12V AC/DC and requires a compatible low-voltage transformer.

Does it work with a dimmer?

Yes, the FlexBeam MR16 is dimmable with most incandescent and LED dimmers. For best results, use a trailing-edge dimmer with a quality low-voltage transformer. The full list of compatible dimming systems and drivers can be downloaded from the Downloads section on this page.

Is the FlexBeam MR16 covered by a warranty?

Yes. The FlexBeam MR16 is backed by a 3-year Dulora warranty. If the product arrives faulty or fails within the warranty period, we'll send you a replacement.
