Maak de Classic zachter en je krijgt de Sunset Dim Classic in Porcelain, een vertrouwde lampvorm die een gelijkmatige, egale gloed verspreidt. De lamp is dimbaar en levert met 7,8 watt 700 lumen warm wit licht van 2700 K als vervanging voor een traditionele gloeilamp van 60 W. Bij het dimmen wordt het licht warmer en verandert het in diep amber van 1800 K. Het matte Porcelain-glas houdt het filament uit het zicht voor zacht, verblindingsvrij licht, en de E27 Edison-schroeffitting past rechtstreeks in de meeste bestaande armaturen. Het Porcelain-effect
De Porcelain-afwerking maakt het volledige verschil met de heldere versie. Er is geen filament dat de aandacht trekt, alleen een glad, mat oppervlak dat gelijkmatig oplicht. Daardoor voelt een kamer die ermee wordt verlicht zacht en rustig aan, in plaats van gedomineerd te worden door één fel lichtpunt. De lamp komt het best tot zijn recht in een kap, waar een heldere lamp filamentschaduwen op de stof kan werpen en de Porcelain-uitvoering alles gelijkmatig houdt. Dimmen doet meer dan de kamer donkerder maken. Naarmate het lichtniveau daalt, maakt het wit plaats voor amber. Het licht wordt steeds warmer en goudkleuriger, zodat het laatste deel van de dimmer meer aan kaarslicht doet denken dan aan een uitdovende lamp. Met een LED-compatibele dimmer verloopt het warmer worden gelijkmatig en stabiel.
Waar de lamp tot zijn recht komt
De Porcelain Classic is op haar best op plekken waar warmte belangrijker is dan fonkeling. Thuis zijn dat pendels en wandlampen met een kap, lampen naast het bed en in de woonkamer, en armaturen in gangen en op overlopen, waar een zachte, gelijkmatige gloed uitnodigender aanvoelt dan hard licht.
