Speilkrone LED-pærer

A mirror crown bulb has a metallic coating on the top half of the glass envelope, reflecting light downward and backward rather than allowing it to radiate directly from the filament in all directions. The result is a softer, more controlled quality of light: no direct glare from the element, a warmer distribution pattern, and a polished metallic crown that adds a design element to exposed fixtures.

Dulora's mirror crown range is available in silver crown and gold crown finishes across E14, E27, and B22 bases. CRI 90 to 95+ across the range, with the G125 Gold Crown reaching CRI 95+. The gold crown pairs naturally with brass and warm-toned hardware; the silver crown suits chrome, nickel, and cooler metallic fittings.

Every dimmable model pairs with a quality LED-rated dimmer. For standard uncoated globe forms, see Globe Dimmable. For pendant fixtures, see Pendant Lights.

Mirror Crown Bulbs: The Finishing Detail That Elevates an Exposed Fixture

Silver crown or gold crown: how do I choose?

Match the crown finish to the hardware of the fixture. Gold crown with brass, bronze, and warm-toned metals. Silver crown with chrome, brushed nickel, stainless steel, and cooler tones. In fixtures with no visible metal, the gold crown produces a warmer reflected tone; the silver crown a more neutral one.

Both finishes deliver the same CRI and dimming performance. The choice is purely aesthetic.

Where do mirror crown bulbs work best?

Any exposed fixture where the bulb sits at or near eye level and direct filament glare would be uncomfortable: dining pendants, bedside sconces, bathroom vanity lights, and low-hanging feature pendants. The metallic crown redirects the light downward, which also makes mirror crown bulbs particularly effective for task-adjacent applications where you want warmth without a direct line of sight to the element.
