Important: The dimmer supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only. It is not compatible with 5GHz networks. If your router is dual-band, you will need to connect your phone to the 2.4GHz network specifically before setting up the dimmer.

Setting Up the Smart Life App

  1. Download the Smart Life app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
  2. Create an account or log in if you already have one
  3. Make sure your phone is connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
  4. Open the app and tap the + icon to add a new device
  5. Select Lighting and then Dimmer Switch
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the dimmer to your Wi-Fi network
  7. When the indicator light turns solid white, the connection is complete

Connecting to Google Assistant

  1. Open the Google Home app on your phone
  2. Tap + then Set up device then Works with Google
  3. Search for Smart Life and tap it
  4. Log in with your Smart Life account credentials
  5. Select the devices you want to control and assign them to a room
  6. You can now use voice commands like "Hey Google, dim the lights to 50%"

Note: Google Assistant is not available if your Smart Life account is registered to a China region. If this applies to you, create a new Smart Life account using a non-China region such as Australia or the United States.

Connecting to Amazon Alexa

  1. Open the Amazon Alexa app on your phone
  2. Go to More then Skills & Games
  3. Search for Smart Life and tap Enable to Use
  4. Log in with your Smart Life account credentials
  5. Alexa will discover your devices automatically
  6. You can now use voice commands like "Alexa, set the bedroom lights to 30%"

Using the Remote Controller

The included remote works independently of Wi-Fi, so it will always function even if your internet is down.

Button Action
ON (short press) Turn light on
OFF (short press) Turn light off
+ (short press) Increase brightness by 10%
+ (long press) Quickly increase brightness
- (short press) Decrease brightness by 10%
- (long press) Quickly decrease brightness

Understanding the Indicator Light

Light Colour Behaviour What It Means
Red Steady (approximately 3 minutes) Low power or initial startup
Red Blinking quickly (2 times per second) Ready for pairing
White On Device connected and powered on
White Off Device powered off

A solid white light means the device is successfully connected. A red light means it is not connected to the network.

Brightness and Scheduling

You can adjust brightness from the Smart Life app by opening the device and using the slider. The app also supports scheduling, so you can set your lights to turn on or off at specific times, or create scenes that adjust brightness automatically.
